Feet As Our Foundation
Each of our feet have 26 bones, 33 joints, 19 muscles, 107 ligaments, and over 200,000 nerve endings (Pedestrian Project). Our feet take us everywhere. They march up hikes, they run marathons, they embrace sand in our toes. They make our bodies feel hot and feel cold. They sweat and they smell. They carry our weight and they callus and peel. Considering how much sensation and life we experience through our feet, it is important that we know exactly how to take care of them with intentional stretching and movement as well as with the socks and shoes that we put on them.
